I'm a computer science student & Elite: Dangerous Commander. Most of the posts on this site will be elite related. I also make tools for automating or simplifying tasks within elite, such as PowerPlay Assistant. If you want to see all of my projects, you can find them here.

Am I just mentioning my ship becuase I love the name? Yes, that's exactly what I'm doing With the 2 Dec update having just been released, I decided to have another go at on foot combat (having never really got into it the first time round). As you can see, I need some practice!
It may be a bit into January by the time you see this, but whilst I have a minute here and there, figured I'd say hallo again! So this is my "plan" for 3311, and what I hope the year holds in store.

The EDDN - or to give it its full name: the Elite Dangerous Data Network - is a relay that takes journal data from commanders, and passes it on to 3rd party apps. In this article, I will be exploring how it works, and why its really useful!
Before I start this post, a few notes: 1. because of the sheer complexity of the Stellar Forge, this will be split into two or three posts, 2. I've tried to write this in non-geek speak, but am more than happy to explain stuff if people want & 3. I will probably get something wrong! This site, domain & DNS are run through Cloudflare, who also make the tunnels I use to connect my various web projects to the wider internet.
Analytics data is collected via a self-hosted instance of Umami (you can find the link in the menu, at the top). All data is kept for a year, then deleted. Its mostly for my own curiosity! If you really want, blocking data.niceygy.net at DNS level, or data.niceygy.net/script.js at browser level will disable all analytics. For more, see About & Legal.
